Durable clothing, synonymous with sustainable clothing

Every year we set out to do an annual report with metrics on the impact our brand has compared to the rest of the textile industry, and every year we decide not to do it .

The impact data for the garments can be seen on each product sheet, but we are aware that they are not easy for everyone to understand. However, we are clear that we all understand the concept of durability .

That is why today we want to explain to you, with examples from our clients, why we invest so much effort and resources in increasing the durability of our products ( men's clothing , women's clothing ... ) and the sustainability associated with it: " There is nothing more sustainable than a product that lasts a long time in the closet ."

Is organic clothing more sustainable?

If we stick to the data, we know that by using organic cotton and recycled polyester , and by manufacturing +95% of our products in Europe, our impact on the environment is lower:

• We reduce the number of liters of water used in the manufacturing process by using 100% OCS100 organic cotton in our clothing.
• We reduce the use of insecticides and pesticides in the production process when using organic cotton.
• We reduce CO2 emissions by using organic and recycled materials and by manufacturing locally.
• We reduce energy consumption and encourage the use of renewable energy in the manufacturing and shipping process.

Impact of the textile industry on the environment

We are aware that we are part of the problem, but also part of the solution . If we manage to ensure that our products have a lower impact on the environment, last longer and can be repaired and recycled , we will have already contributed in a positive way by minimising the impact.

Sustainable and durable clothing

At Minimalism we sell essential items for your wardrobe so that they last a long time. We don't like fast fashion, buy, use and throw away.

We want our customers to buy in a more conscious way, questioning what materials we use in the manufacturing process and how and where we manufacture. Because all of that is reflected in the durability of the product and we all understand that.
